Catalog: Climbing Roses

Thanks to Canadian rose breeders, we have a great selection of climbing roses for northern gardens. The roses listed here do not need winter protection in US hardiness Zone 4 -- you can leave them on the trellis without worrying. With that said, however, there may be some particularly severe winters that may cause some dieback on the roses. But, these roses will grow right back. All of the varieties listed on this page have survived winter temperatures of -40 degrees F. in our gardens.

How to Grow

Climbing RosesRoses need sun (at least 6 hours daily); well-drained, fertile soil; and consistent and adequate soil moisture to thrive and produce the most blossoms.
