Honeybelle is a new honeysuckle variety that will be sure to attract gardeners and hummingbirds! It will provide you with a cascade of golden, trumpet-like blossoms, backed by green round foliage. This compact, twining vine will consistently rebloom well into fall and
produce some red berries.
Versatile and easy-to-grow, this vine is winter hardy to Zone
3 and is considered one of the hardiest honeysuckle varieties. Although it will grow in semi-shaded areas, full sun will ensure the best show
of blooms. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. This vine is adaptable to
a variety of garden soils, but does best with good garden soil that has moderate to good drainage.

To produce the best show of blossoms, this vine needs at least a half day of full sun in consistently
moist, organic soil. Be sure to give it a support to climb
on right away or soon after it's planted. It takes a year
or two to reach its full size. Prune it to control
its shape.
What's a "bareroot" plant?
"Bareroot"
is a term that describes how a plant is shipped to you. A
bareroot plant is not in a pot, and is usually dormant (not
actively growing). See the photo to the right that shows what
a bareroot rose looks like. The bareroot plants that we ship
to you were harvested in the fall and placed in cold storage
over the winter to keep them dormant. In the spring, we ship
the bareroot plants to our customers, from early April through
mid May.
Bareroot plants are easy to grow. We include planting instructions
with your order. When you receive your plant, take it out
of the packing material and place it in a bucket of water
so that the roots are completely covered. Let the roots soak
for 4 to 24 hours, then plant it in your garden. Full planting
instructions with photos are available on our planting
shrubs page.
