Prices: Our plants range in price from $16.95
and higher for the flowering and fruiting shrubs and $18.95
and higher for the roses. We also offer hedge
specials on some varieties were you can purchase 10 plants
for $149. Roses are two-year old, grade #1, bareroot, dormant
plants that are grown on their own roots (no buds/grafts).
Our flowering and fruiting shrubs are grade 12-18" cane
length size and are shipped bareroot and dormant.
We provide planting instructions with each order and with
just a little attention, your plants will be growing and blooming
in no time. To reach mature size, it usually takes a plant
about three years. The first year they sleep (roots are getting
established), the second year they creep and the third year
they leap -- just like a perennial.
Plant Guarantee: We guarantee that our plants are true to name and will arrive alive (although dormant) and in good condition when they are shipped to you. If a dormant plant fails to grow, please contact us within one month after receiving the plant and we will refund the purchase price of your plants. Please note that sometimes it can take a few weeks for a plant to emerge from dormancy. We can't guarantee against weather related problems, soil, insect or disease problems, or gardening problems. We have grown all the plants that we sell, so we know that they will survive our climate in average gardening conditions that provide for basic soil and moisture needs and disease and pest protection. We provide good planting instructions with each order and have lots of information on this Web site to help you grow your plants. Please treat your plants like you would your pets by providing at least for their basic needs. |

(no foliage) from early April through mid May. You can select a preferred ship date, or we'll send the plants at the time best for planting them in your climate. Please note that we ship on Mondays only to ensure that plants
reach their final destination the week that they are sent.

What's a "bareroot" plant?
"Bareroot"
is a term that describes how a plant is shipped to you. A
bareroot plant is not in a pot, and is usually dormant (not
actively growing). See the photo to the right that shows what
a bareroot rose looks like. The bareroot plants that we ship
to you were harvested in the fall and placed in cold storage
over the winter to keep them dormant. In the spring, we ship
the bareroot plants to our customers, from early April through
mid May.
Bareroot plants are easy to grow. We include planting instructions
with your order. When you receive your plant, take it out
of the packing material and place it in a bucket of water
so that the roots are completely covered. Let the roots soak
for 4 to 24 hours, then plant it in your garden. Full planting
instructions with photos are available on our Planting
Roses and Planting
Shrubs pages.
